5 Children, 1 Adult Fatally Shot At Oklahoma Home: Police
Police said, Olga. (AP) – Six people were shot dead in a house in Oklahoma early Tuesday, including five young children and the suspect in the murder was taken into custody.
Police said in a new release that officers responded at 1:30 a.m. to the phones of several people who shot at a house in Muskogee, a town of 40,000 people about 45 miles southeast of Tulsa.
Once, officers confronted a man with a gun, who was later taken into custody. Police said officers found one person and four children dead at the scene and a fifth child died at Tulsa Hospital.
Muskogee Police Officer Lynn Hamlin described the slain youths as “young children”, but police have not yet revealed their exact age.
He said that a woman was also taken to the hospital in the deadly attack.
Authorities later identified the suspect as Jordan Dejan Prijon, a 25-year-old man living in the home. Hemlin said authorities do not know a motive but do not believe any other suspects are involved.
“I have chosen not to cooperate with the investigation at this time,” Prigon said during a news conference Tuesday afternoon.
