‘America’s Got Talent’ contestant leaves the show due to cancer battle

“Sharing my heart with the world on AGT has been an honor and a dream come true. My outlook this summer has been amazing,” Markzewski wrote. “What a miracle that the pain I have gone through can be turned into beauty, allowing people around the world to open their eyes.”

She continued: “Since my audition, my health has taken a turn for the worse and the battle with cancer is demanding all my energy and attention. I am very sad to announce that I cannot continue On this season of AGT. Life doesn’t always give the breaks they deserve – but we already knew. Thanks for all your support, this is the world for me. Stay with me, I’ll be better soon I’ll go. I’m planning for my future, not my legacy. Too defeated, but I still have dreams.”

“AGT” Judge Heidi Klum posted a message of support for Markzewski.

“We will miss your energy, your passion and your beautiful voice on the live show,” Klum wrote. “The entire #AGT family loves you and we are all with you ️❤️❤️

During Markzewski’s audition in June, judge Simon Cowell was so impressed that he hit the Golden Buzzer to send him straight to the live show.
