Carey revealed she was pregnant and had a miscarriage earlier this year in an Instagram post on Saturday.
“Our rainbow baby is expected this Christmas,” she wrote, referring to a baby who is born after a miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death.
She wrote, “At the beginning of the year, I had a miscarriage, which broke my heart. I feel incredibly blessed to be pregnant again, but I’ve also felt like a bag of nerves “
“Fertility issues can be really difficult for many people, especially when on a platform like Instagram it can seem like everything is always going well,” Johnson said. “I found it a real comfort to hear from people who had experienced loss, so I hope sharing this can help others as well.”
The child was given the middle name Nicholas in honor of two doctors who treated Boris Johnson while he was hospitalized by Covid-19.
“Wilfred after Boris’s grandfather, Laurie after my grandfather, Nicholas after Dr Nick Price and Dr Nick Hart – the two doctors who saved Boris’s life last month,” Carey said on her Instagram account at the time.
