Chick Venera, ‘The Golden Girls’ actor, dead at 74


Venera, born Francis Venera in New York, played the recurring role of Enrique on “The Golden Girls” and also voiced the characters in “Animaniacs and Batman Beyond”.

After serving in the military, Venera lived in Los Angeles, where he performed in nightclubs and an illustrious television career with roles in the 1978–81 Robert Urich series “Vega$,” “TJ Hooker,” “Different Strokes” started of. and “Night Court.”

She went on to star in several films, including “Yanks” and Robert Redford’s “Milagro Beanfield War”, appearing with Richard Gere.
