European football ‘for irrationally irreparable damage’

What’s striking about the so-called European Super League which clubs are not part of, notably Bayern Munich and Champions League semifinalist Paris Saint-Germain.

German Football Association (DFL) CEO Christian Seifert said his organization opposes the concept of a European Super League.

“The economic interest of some of the top clubs in England, Italy and Spain should not be the reason for the abolition of established structures in European football,” Seifert said in a statement.

Seifert said it would be “irresponsible to cause irreparable damage to national leagues as the basis of European professional football.”
