Former boxing champion ‘Marvelous’ Marvin Hagler died at the age of 66

His wife, posted on Facebook, said, “I am sad to make a very sad announcement.” “Today unfortunately my dear husband Marvelous Marvin died unexpectedly at his home in New Hampshire. Our family requests that you respect our privacy in this difficult time. With love.”

In 1980 Hagler became the undisputed middleweight champion. He defended his title against Tommy Herners in 1985 Brutal three rounds of battle Billed as “war”.

Many in the boxing community mourned Hagler’s loss, honoring the man who dominated the middleweight division for nearly a decade.
