German Fitness Granny Finds Fame On TikTok
BERLIN (Reuters) – When Germany went into lockdown after a previous outbreak of the coronovirus pandemic, Erica Risocco, now 81, posted her first 12-second video on Tickcock, featuring the popular Cha-Cha slide line dance Danced with her husband.
Since then, Risocco has uploaded over 100 videos of herself such as planking and pull-ups, as well as dancing to encourage others to be active during the dance.
“Move and do something!” Do not just sit in a corner and slope. This is just the worst, ”he told Reuters.
She has garnered nearly 125,000 followers and over 2 million likes on the TickTalk app, which is extremely popular among teens and is known for dance and lip-syncing routines and viral challenges.
In some of her clips, which her daughter shoots for her, she trains on her own and takes on fitness challenges set by those who are decades younger than her.
In others, she and her husband, whom she met years ago on a dance show, perform synchronous dance routines.
