During a storyline in a two-hour crossover episode on Thursday with “Station 19,” played by Giacomo Gianniotti, Dr. Andrew DeLuca attempted to chase down a sex trafficker and was stabbed. Deluca, a character on the show since 2015, died at the operating table after saying goodbye to Meredith Gray, suffering from Corrid-19.
Meanwhile while on Gray (Ellen Pompeo) in a dream sequence while being sick during her dream sequences, DeLuca tells her: “Never mind, I want you to know that the way you did Looked at me, I never felt it. ” Never felt the way you have inspired me. Fans took to Twitter to express their shock and anger at the loss of the beloved character, with one writing that he is “never going to recover.”
After the episode, Gianniotti tweeted about his experience on the series.
