At the time, several stories were circulating on the Internet, alleging that Mitchell was nothing short of a great peer on the music series, which ran from 2009 to 2015.
“And I like ‘guys, she’s pregnant, and all this stuff is going on here and there,” Morris told Pellegrino. “It’s true and I don’t know that maybe we were victims of bullying and it’s a general victim, to blame ourselves, for what people were saying.”
At the time Michelle was expecting her first child with her husband Zandy Reich.
Morris said the stories about Mitchell were true, but “the only person who was honest about it was Naya (Rivera),” adding, “It was something that was very quiet on the set” and to Morris Did not feel that it was his place to say anything at that time.
“We could have completely gone ahead and gone to the Fox execution and said how we felt about the situation, and no one really did that,” Morris said. “And so now we are living in a culture where it is acceptable to do these kinds of things, whereas I think many people were very scared.”
CNN has reached out to Michelle’s representative for comment.
