Singer and rapper Megan Thee Stallion created history by becoming the first pair to win the Best Rap Performance for Women category in Sunday Gramm. His remix of Megan The Stallion’s hit, “Savage”.
The award was announced before the show aired on CBS and Megan Thee Stallion began her acceptance speech shouting out her excitement.
“I’m so excited. Sometimes I’m in disbelief,” she Tweeted. “I can’t believe I’m the Houston girl who actually made it. Me and my mom always talked about me at the Grammys, and she used to tell me that I’m going to win a Grammy.”
Megan The Stallion Also received the first television Grammy of the night for Best New Artist.
His mother, who was also his manager, died in 2019.
