On Thursday, the hip hop star shared behind-the-scenes pictures of the two of them on the sets of the much-awaited event.
Back in July, Minaj shared a trailer for the show, in which the cast talked about their lives along with remixed songs from their hit track, “Moment 4 Life.”
“I will be hosting the reunion. lmk what do you want me to ask Chile,” the caption read.
However, Minaj has since courted a lot of controversy, making headlines for her anti-wax comments.
After revealing that she was not attending the Met Gala in New York City due to the need for a COVID-19 vaccine, she opened up about being impotent after a friend of her cousin’s in Trinidad received a COVID-19 shot. Shared an unverified story.
“Her testicles were swollen,” Minaj claimed in a tweet.
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, just over 54% of the total US population is vaccinated.
President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser, Dr. Anthony Fauci, told CNN at the time that “she (Minaj) should think twice about promoting information that really has no basis.”
Some fans of the reality show took to social media on Friday to complain about Minaj being given a platform after her comments.
One commenter wrote on Twitter, “Wait @BravoTv actually let Nicki Minaj host the #RHOP reunion and she’s not vaccinated? I’m watching videos of her walking around without a mask and social distancing. Her Sounds very irresponsible on my part.”
Another said: “There’s no point in hosting her reunion.”
However, other viewers welcomed the idea of seeing Minaj in the hosting chair.
One simply reposted Minaj and Cohen’s photo with the caption: “Obsessed #RHOP @Andy @NICKIMINAJ.”
Another added: “This is going to be awesomely epic and awesome @NICKIMINAJ @Andy @BravoTV.”
CNN has contacted representatives for Bravo and Andy Cohen for comment.
