The trailer shows a large cast dating back to 2012, when the show ended. The title song of Cosgrove can be heard in the background of the trailer.
“It’s still ‘iCarly,’ but it’s all grown up now,” she says in the preview.
“iCarly” star Reed Alexander spoke to CNN about the reboot, saying it felt natural to be back with the cast after so long.
“The reaction to the show’s return has been nothing short of surprising. ‘iCarly’ has been so culturally relevant to millions of viewers that after nearly a decade it’s exciting to see the anticipation and excitement that emanates from the original series. The last few weeks Online has exploded with the announcement of its revival,” he said. “It was incredibly fun to be back at iCarly after so many years to be a part of this reboot. Being on set again with the cast, playing our parts again – it all felt so natural, and I know that. Viewers are in for a treat when the show premieres.”
