Domaine Park will host the premiere of Mark Gray’s chamber opera “Bird in the Moon”, about migration and mother-daughter relationships, with a libretto by Julia Canosa i Serra and directed by Elkhana Pulitzer; A Philharmonic string quartet will join soprano Maria Elena Altney and actor Austin Spangler for a performance.
Anglica Negron “Sembraar”, to be performed at Father Gigante Plaza in the Bronx, will present its composer on electronics with string players from the Philharmonic and Bronx Arts Ensemble. At Father Gigante Plaza, Tim, Kyle Zerna, assistant head of the orchestra, will DJ with Grand Wizard Theodore.
