West Indies to play at Wembley Stadium in August after signing new album deal


Irish Flock of boys, Who reunited in 2019, announced that they would be doing two shows at London’s Wembley Stadium on 21 and 22 August.

The group wrote on Instagram on Friday, “Thank you guys, we are over the moon to fully announce that we have been asked to play in this second show at Wembley Stadium!”

“We are also excited to share with you that new music will arrive later this year!”

The Post follows the news that Nikki Byron, Qian Egan, Shane Filan and Mark Fihily will release their 12th studio album later this year after signing an agreement with Warner Music UK label East West Records.

On Wednesday, St. Patrick’s Day, the quartet told fans on Twitter that they had “found a record label that shares the same energy and high ambitions we all have, which will be a very busy year, where there will be some surprising announcements and certainty.” New music from “!”

Westlife participated in 2011, at which time it was said that they had “run out of steam and lost love” which they were doing.

Founding member Brian McFadden left the group in 2004 to pursue a solo career.

At the height of their success the group dominated the UK charts with hits including “You Raise Me Up”, “Flying Without Wings” and “World of Their Own”.

According to the official chart company, Westlife has scored 14 UK number 1 singles and topped the album charts in the UK on eight occasions.
