Winter Weather Is Temporarily Closing Walmart Stores in These States

In response to the closure, Walmart provided an interactive map, detailing each of the 5,300+ stores and marking them in red if they closed frequently. 650 stores that are currently closed as of Monday, February 16th. The chain states, “The safety of our partners and customers is our top priority. Walmart’s Emergency Operations Center monitors winter storms and other potential disasters in real time.” Post on its website. “We assess the condition of our facilities and will continue to operate as long as it is safe to do so. We pay close attention and follow local and / or state guidance.”
Conditions are believed to continue, even as the storm moves northeast, bringing icy conditions to Pennsylvania, Vermont and New York. A new storm is developing in the Midwest, causing more snow in Texas and more snow in other states. No word yet on whether this winter season will force more Walmart stores Close their doors.
